I made it through week 2. Crazy, for sure. Frustrating, for sure. Done? For sure. Am I doing well? I don't really know. I think I am. Camp messes with all of my sensibilities.
But now, to rob from my dear sister, I have a few questions to ask of you (answer any or all of them):
1. What kind of pictures would you like to see from me (it could be silly - be specific and I might just take it for you)?
2. Recommend a good book
3. What kind of non-profit agency do you support?
4. Where do you see me career-wise?
5. Tell me what's new with you
6. Tell me when you're going to come and volunteer at camp
7. Have you heard any new music I would like?
Okay, thanks, brother and sister for putting this up on your site so I could modify it and rob it from you!

...when 36 hours....
....feels like forever.
It's Tuesday night. Day 2 of the 3rd graders' 2-night camp is over. They leave at 10am. Their craziness makes me feel like they've been here for much longer.
This week so far, I've learned how to talk sternly, authoritatively, quietly, and threaten the loss of pool time.

1 week down.
So, here I sit, at home. It's quite lovely. I've been away for four weeks and I'm spending the weekend at home. So nice.
4 weeks into camp and the 1st week of campers is done. Things went really well, minus the fact that I managed to get a hoarse voice, so it's only at about 80% strength. Hopefully it will feel better soon so that it doesn't just continue to get worse. People say that resting the voice is the best cure, but that's difficult to do in a camp setting. I might just need to make my counselors do a lot of talking for me.
Friday was my birthday, it was good. I jumped in the pool 3 times with my clothes on, mostly because my campers sent me fake mail. Ah, well, if they like it, why not? Home for supper, which was amazing.
Today it will be back to camp after celebrating Fathers' Day. Another week about to begin.
Job search is going well, also, I've sent in a few applications, we'll see what happens. I'm trying not to get my hopes up about the jobs that I'm really interested in.
Hope all is well with all of you. Jehova Jaira.

Wedding!
So, this past weekend... Neil and Sarah got married!
The wedding was really lovely and it was great to see so many friends. Although the trip was much shorter than I really wanted it to be, it was so good to go and see them get married. Pictures may be coming later, but right now I'm at camp where the internet is slow, the wireless is slower, and I'm not sure if I have my camera cord with me!
Life here at camp keeps on going, we're in our final week of staff training, and I've had the opportunity to get things done with what I'm responsible for, so I'm starting to feel like I'm ready for the campers to come.
Other than that, my life isn't very interesting :) But it's moving along. Hope you're doing well.
